ICBA, or the Independent College Bookstore Association, had their annual conference in Denver earlier last month, which included speakers on professional development, high-impact networking events, and programs built to create more success for independent college bookstores. DSC had a great time meeting attendees and building connections during this week.
With 18 total vendor booths, ICBA was a great opportunity to meet others in the independent store space from across North America and discuss ways to increase success financially and in store communities. DSC sent a few people to Denver to showcase products and give ICBA’s keynote speech, and representatives were able to use a private room for the DSC Tech Booth.
Similar to speed-dating, attendees visited each booth for 3-5 minute sessions and learned about each tech product group. Senior Director of Marketing & E-Commerce Angela Bluhm and Vice President of Retail Sales Lesley Dancker also gave a Vision Talk on behalf of DSC that used the three laws of attraction to bring success to your store and highlighted the many free resources DSC provides.
